L'Érudition, what happens to it ?

Hi, I'm Mattéo, editor-in-chief of L'Érudition since it was founded in January 2022. If you're a regular reader of the paper, I'd like to warn you that this article will be a little different from what we've been doing until today...

Yesterday, along with a large part of the editorial team, we were in a meeting to review the L'Érudition project in almost its entirety. As we pointed out in a previous article, our previous method of operation was causing us problems and a lack of investment on the part of most of us. So we put all the issues on the table and tried to resolve them one by one. In the interests of transparency with our readers, we thought it would be a good idea to inform you of the decisions taken.

It hasn't gone unnoticed by anyone that we've had a few problems in the team over the last few months. Whether it was the departure of Elie, co-founder of the project, last April - whom we would like to thank for the work he put in for over a year - or our lack of organization, several factors prevented us from publishing regularly and involving the entire editorial team. To alleviate this problem, we have unanimously decided to finally get together on a daily basis to work on the magazine, where until now we have only been able to do so by videoconference...

But what difference does it make?

It's all very well, you may say, to meet regularly, but what will this change in terms of content? First of all, given that these times will be dedicated to producing content for the magazine, to motivate the whole team and avoid having to work during school holidays, they will only take place once a month or so. It also goes without saying that we're no soothsayers, so we can't predict what's going to happen in the months ahead.

This point has led us to completely rethink our editorial line. Indeed, in pursuit of practicality, originality and multiplicity of publication, we have taken the following decision: to treat current events in a much broader timeframe than before, focusing our vision on the points of view of young people! This will enable us to plan a distribution schedule (with a few surprises from time to time, don't worry) for our recurring events. It will also enable us to have "personalized" content according to the member who makes it!

So this is the start of a whole new adventure for the L'Érudition team, and we can't wait to see the results! We'll see you soon, at the same address !
